APPLICATIONS - Application process & form
« on: September 13, 2006, 20:43:15 pm »
1. How applications are getting accepted or denied?

The clan has meeting once in a 1-2 months, specially related to the applications... The announcement comes 1 week before meeting, so that all clan members can check applications, and if they do not know some guys, they have a time to watch this players in game and on forums...

During meeting the clan members are voting for each application...

Accepted = player got maximum votes
Denied = player did not get votes, clan members should explain their position in this case... If clan members can not explain the reason of "No", application is moved to the next round
Moved to the next round = 1. Player has too much "No" votes even if he got more "Yes" 2. Clan members are not ready to say straight "Yes" or "No" 3. New player's application. This means the clan will vote on your application again during the next recruitment wave.

2. Can I post a new application, if mine previous was moved to "Denied" section?

Yes, you can make a new application if you think you are ready for that... Usually we type the reason of denying, so in this case you should check out what was the reason for tips...

3. Who gets accepted to the clan, what are the parameters of accept?

  • friendship - more friends you will have, more possibilities to be accepted... This is not about "ass-kissing", as clan is made of independent gamers and any attempt to kiss asses can lead to the negative position of clan members...
  • friendly roleplay - be friendly to other players on server - this is another key to the clan... Players, who have a lot of troubles with other players, hardly will get accepted... Try to avoid aggressive roleplay or competitions in gaming like "lets see who sucks and who owns", even thou its usual in video games... Does not matter which division you wanna join - CounterStrike shooter or GTA roleplay
  • active eventing - try to take active part in servers events: organizing or participating... This will also give you positive reaction from clan... It can be a roleplay event or taking part in projects of Argonath RPG: site developing (image designs for example), radio option, movie community, roleplay groups, hints, tips, guides to new players
  • stability - one of the most important parts... If you start any project and drop it in few days or will change your positions in game and opinions too much and to the polar sides - clan members will hardly accept you to clan... Try not to run on a razor side...
  • Activity - more activity on servers - more chances... Its not about not having a life, but about Clan feature: as the R* clan will take a lot of parts in developing games and scripts

4. Do you accept only admins?

We can accept any player, but can be cases when clan is not sure, how player will react with the new tags... Then clan can take a decision to make a player an admin on server to see if he will handle it... Mostly it is because R* clan is a clan of developers...

Cheaters and flamers "in pass" will not have the same chances as others... Spoiled reputation earns by double work...
Clan does not like those who make problems... But those who solve problems...

The main parametres:

1. Player has no problems with 90% of community...
2. Player never cheated...
3. Player respects the rules (acting by rules)...
4. Player is doing some part of work on Argonath...
5. Player is a regular Argonath member...

Just a little note to all applicants - when you are serious about joining the clan, try not to change name every other day. This makes it very hard for us to keep track of who's who. When you apply, choose a name which you would stick with for a long time.
You may notify everyone about changing your name on the application but i can tell you that it is still hard to remember who's who. This of course does not apply to clan tags.

Well guys, i was thinking about something, i saw that many players have made an application and after some time of waitings they withdraw it. So, i think they should put something like [WITHDRAW] on their topic name. Like this the section Moderators could lock their topic and just active topics will remain to be discussed.

(Well, if is a problem with my reply here - i will delete it. Just pm me or delete it yourself. :) )

Cheers,

Mr.Joker Kolta

I thought I'd ask this here so all Applicants can see it.

If someone is Denied due to inactivity/Lack of Interest, is this also judged by Activity in game?

Because I see some Applicants have waited a long time :)

Sorry if i'm not allowed to write here, but i'll note to every applicant something. If you want to not withdraw your application in two days, don't check it every day. With checking it every day,you will think you will be not accepted into the clan, and you will withdraw application. So,just show activity when is asked,or every week, not every day.Good Luck! :)

Keep it simple stupid. Focus on the in game "recruitment". A pretty application, well kept and checked doesn't mean more than dirt under the fingernail.
People say I'm vulgar. Well, I say bullshit!
If you have any questions regarding the clan or simply want to chat, PM me.

This would be the best place to ask about it;

What's the policy upon updating your application? such as announcing changes and/or events, such as temporary departure, inactivity, acception in something.
